Twilight for Dummies

I found this illustration of Twilight at TwilightBlog.net. I am not one for things like this normally as I love the books so much and the characters but I just find this hilarious for some reason. Others would probably think it is a mockery and down-right insulting but whatever your judgment you're completely entitled to it. It's actually for those who don't know a lot about the saga. OK?

Rosalie's News

Have you read this part about Rosalie's news to Edward which wasn't part of the original manuscript of New Moon? I think it's a very interesting read. Go to her website at Stephanie Meyer's New Moon Extras. Enjoy.

Remember Me Photos

Some pics from the film Remember Me which will be out on March 12 in theaters featuring Rob Pattinson.

Twilight in Forks DVD

Twilight In Forks: The Saga Of The Real Town will be available on DVD the same day as The Twilight Saga: New Moon: March 20, 2010.
The synopsis for the film is as follows:
The definitive DVD documenting the town of Forks made famous by the Twilight books and movies. This is a fan’s opportunity to see the town that Stephenie Meyer based her epic teen romance books on. Hear from the real people living their lives in the town fans know and love, including the Chief of Police, the Forks Outfitters’ employee who gets mistaken for Bella, and the vampire transplant who plays the real-life role of Alice. Visit Forks High School, hear self-described Jacob’s grandfather tell the legend of how the Quileutes descended from wolves, and see many more of the people and places that make Forks and La Push the perfect setting for The Twilight Saga.

I think this is pretty cool. Don't mind getting hold of a copy.

10 Secrets in New Moon

Director Chris Weitz revealed 10 secrets of the film. Here they are. Did you notice them?

1. Hidden wolves

''Look for an upside-down engraving of a wolf in the shot of the bowl in which Carlisle burns his first-aid equipment; on Jacob's T-shirt when he meets Bella in the school parking lot for the first time; and a wolf trinket on the dream-catcher that he gives her.

2. Vampire elevator music

''When Edward, Bella, and Alice get into the elevator on their way to see the Volturi, the music playing in the elevator is from Strauss' Die Fledermaus (a.k.a. The Bat).''
3. Emotional baggage?

''When Bella is looking for the meadow where she and Edward are seen lying down together, she carries a golden compass clipped to her backpack — part of my baggage!''

4. Speedy suitor
''We did a little trick when Edward gets out of Bella's truck and they're arguing. We wanted to show Edward moving impossibly quickly, so we put Rob right next to the camera but out of sight, and used a double dressed like Rob in the driver's seat. When Edward gets out, it's the double, and then Rob steps in front of the camera, and it looks as if he got there faster than humanly possible.''

5. Look it up
''And last but not least: If you want to know what Jacob says before he almost kisses Bella, ask a Quileute! The address of the Quileute tribal council is quileutenation.org. I can tell you this much: He says, Kwop kilawtley.''

6. Tower of glower

''You can see Volterra's tower and the red-cloaked revelers from the festival of San Marco on the cover of Bella's copy of Romeo and Juliet when she wakes up in her bedroom.''

7. Hope it was a rental...
''In the wolf-fight, we purposely knocked over the camera when the wolves tumble towards it; you can also hear the microphone thumping, as if an actual on-set animal had run into the camera and boom.''

8. Quileute culture
''When prepping to visualize Jacobs and Emily's houses, production designer David Brisbin and his team visited La Push and met the Quileute executive council. While they were there, a young Quileute girl gave David the first drum she made (this is a Quileute custom). To show appreciation, we decided to put the drum in a prominent shot — it's at the entrance of Emily's house, and you see it when Bella first enters. Also, the high pitched 'call' that Embry and Jared give when they jump out of Bella's car is a thing the Quileute kids do.''

9. Waxing romantic
''The reason the moon phases 'backwards' to reveal the title is that this is scientifically correct! I moderated an astrophysics seminar for the Science and Entertainment Exchange with noted astronomer Neil DeGrasse Tyson and he complained about the number of films that get simple science wrong. (Don't ask me to justify vampires or werewolves).''

10. That's Italian!

''In the Volturi chamber, Aro speaks Italian — 'La Tua Cantante' should be easy for readers of the books — he's referring to Bella's being Edward's 'singer,' whose blood calls out to him stronger than anyone else's. Later, when Bella tells him that he doesn't know anything about Edward's soul, he replies, 'Fore ... ne il vostro l'uno o altro' — 'Perhaps ... nor yours either.'''

Breaking Dawn Update

The L. A. Times has some info on 'Breaking Dawn' straight from The Twilight Saga producer Wyck Godfrey. In an interview last Friday, he said that 'Breaking Dawn' is still a work in progress, but that it could begin filming this fall in Vancouver:

Wyck Godfrey, the producer of all the films in the “Twilight” saga, admits that the creative team still doesn’t know how they’ll handle the character in the “Breaking Dawn” movie, but said that the plan is absolutely for the production to go forward — as either one or two installments — with an eye toward beginning to shoot in Vancouver this fall. All three stars are signed for “Breaking Dawn,” he said, meaning that Stewart and Pattinson will be dealing with the joys and woes of interspecies parenting and newly minted heartthrob Taylor Lautner will return as often-shirtless shape-shifter Jacob Black.

At the moment, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who’s penned all the “Twilight” movies, is working on the “Breaking Dawn” script(s). “It’s a work in process,” Godfrey said in an interview Friday. “The issue [of whether there will be one or two movies] is not going to be resolved until we get the full treatment and see whether it’s organic. If it’s not organic, I don’t think it will be done, and if it is, it will be. It really has to do with how much level of detail from the books there is, with all of these new vampires that appear in ‘Breaking Dawn,’ the whole section about Jacob… It’s a very long single movie if it does become a single movie.”

Although there’s been a great deal of online chatter about whether Chris Weitz, director of the second and most recent movie, “New Moon,” would return to helm “Breaking Dawn,” Godfrey downplayed that possibility, saying, “I think everyone would be happy and excited if he came back, but I don’t think it’s going to happen.”

He and the other principals are formulating a list of potential directors, “but right now,” Godfrey said, “we’re just focused on the treatment and getting that right. At that point, we’re going to see who’s available and who’s appropriate. It’s such a complicated book because you have the emotions and the intensity of the love story — so you need somebody who’s just a wonderful director of actors — and yet it’s really complicated from an action and visual effects standpoint. They’ve got to have both tools in their kit.”

A visual effects background might be particularly helpful when it comes to dealing with the character of Renesmee.

“I keep having visions of ‘[The Curious Case of] Benjamin Button’ in my head,” Godfrey said, referring to David Fincher’s Oscar-nominated 2008 fantasy about a man who becomes physically younger as he ages. “It’s certainly going to be visual effects in some capacity along with an actor. I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being a full CG creation, but it also may be a human shot on a soundstage that then is used to shrink down. I don’t know. We need a director. When we get a director, that director will need to come with a point of view of how they want to tackle it.”

The third movie in the series, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” is due in theaters June 30.

Twilight Deleted Scenes

Just want to share these deleted scenes which I actually haven't seen as I didn't buy the special copy. I am hoping when I get hold of New Moon's DVD in March there would be more special features included.

Eclipse Fanmade Trailer

Hello!

I like Edward & Bella story and although the other actors have made the film interesting I don't feel like delving into their lives and what happen after Twilight. I am actually wondering if I have enough battery to sustain another blog on a main online Twilight site. Sure I could write about what I feel about the film, books, characters and the actors who played them but it sounds like a job to me. I don't like it when I couldn't earn back not that I am gaining a lot from having two blogs especially this one. I'm also aware that it would be the  appropriate place to talk about random Twibits with readers who obviously are avid Twi fans but it still sound or appeal daunting to me. Anyway, whether I take this opportunity or not let's wait and see.
I found this fanmade trailer of Eclipse by tiffanyd666. Enjoy!
